After two sold-out salons, we're gathering again to celebrate our beautiful queerness, and you're invited to join us!
Reservations are free and highly encouraged.
Once a month, Chicago artists and community members come together to tell real stories of resilience and share new works in progress. We're lifting up how everyday LGBTQ+ people are pushing back against cruel and harmful U.S. policies with creativity, care, and collective fire!
We call it a salon, but it's also an open mic, a strategy session, a pizza party, and a love letter to queer joy.
Mark your calendars: Monday, April 14. Bramble Arts Loft (5545 N Clark St, 2nd Floor, Chicago) 6:00 pm Doors open 6:30 pm Food & community hangout 7:00 pm Stories + performances 7:45 pm More food, more time together
Come for the community, stay for the movement. We can't wait to see you!
ALERT: COMMUNITY EMERGENCY. Our partners at the Youth Empowerment Project are facing an unexpected eviction from their facility. We will discuss how we can all help in many ways with this crisis affecting the most vulnerable among us: queer youth struggling with homelessness.
Emilio Williams hosts and curates Issue #3. (Let's discuss how we're organizing future editions.)
Thanks to our community partners: YEPP, AboutFace Theatre, and The Gender and Sexuality Center at UIC.
A special shoutout to David Lee Csicsko for the stunning series of posters he designed for the salon!
