Samohi Class of 1979
Our Samohi Class of 1979 reunion is happening in 2024! I am so excited to be bringing the news about our 45 year reunion. Lets keep the good vibes rolling as we celebrate Samohi and the people we grew up with in this vibrant community. This year although there is no All Class Picnic, we will be coinciding with Samohi Homecoming weekend.
When: Saturday, October 19, 2024
Where: The Penmar restaurant at Penmar Golf Course in Venice. 1233 Rose Ave. Venice

Plenty of free parking but ride share encouraged. This is an outdoor venue. Casual dress OK and dressing up is OK too.
What time: 4:00pm-8:00pm
Who: All Samohi Class of 1979 graduates and adult guests. Also, our classmates who would have graduated with us in 1979 that we grew up with.
How much: Appetizers, dinner buffet, one drink ticket and desert for $75.00 per person. Beer, wine and selected drinks will be available separately in our reserved area.

Please purchase tickets ASAP and no later than September 30, 2024.
Entertainment: We have the opportunity to present photos on a large screen so PLEASE email me any photos from Samohi, any of our reunions or any general gathering of Vikings from our class. (No dogs, kids, grandkids, vacations) JPEG format preferred. email: SamohiClassof1979@gmail.com

Advertising: You may purchase an ad or announcement or memoriam to be included in the photo roll on the big screen for $50. Please send 4x6 JPEG photo of your ad. Placement is subject to approval of the ad. The photo roll will run continuously throughout the evening. We would like to raise money to offset the cost!
Activities: Penmar Golf course is a 9 hole public course on the border of Santa Monica with plenty of free parking and street parking. Book a tee time at: https://www.golf.lacity.org/request_tt/
Penmar Recreation Center is directly across the street with tennis and pickle ball courts. Book a tennis or pickleball reservation at: https://www.laparks.org/sports/tennis/permits
Public beaches are approximately 1.5 miles from The Penmar. Spend the day at the beach, then join us at The Penmar.
Friday, October 18, 2024 Samohi Homecoming football game at Corsair Field 7:00pm. Ticket info TBD. If anybody wants to get a group together to go to the game or volunteer to be in charge of this, please let me know.
Sunday, October 20, 2024 10:00am Sunday morning beach volleyball at 2400 Ocean Front Walk Santa Monica, in front of Perrys Beach Café. Join us for coffee and breakfast at Perrys. (NOT lifeguard Tower 26. To the north of Tower 26 and north of Ocean Park Blvd.) Beach parking lot $15-$20 daily rate.
