Beyond Oaxaca: Mezcal Across Mexico
When we talk about Mezcal about the people who make it, the ways they make it, and the issues around sustainability the conversation always alludes to Oaxaca. But Oaxaca is only one of the states where Mezcal can be certified. This 90-minute session is a discussion about those things people, process, and sustainability but in the context of the other places where Mezcal is made, the processes and agaves used in those places, and the people who make those spirits.
This session will be led by Lou Bank, founder of SACRED Agave and host of the Agave Road Trip podcast.
The session is hosted by A Sip of Paradise Garden, an Atlanta not-for-profit that provides horticultural therapy, employment resources, and health and wellness programs for bartenders and the greater hospitality community to recharge their minds, bodies and spirits.
Five spirits will be shared, and the session is free for all hospitality workers. Seating is limited to 50.
