in its 26th year
Returns to Rockland!

The 10 MANHATTAN SHORT finalists hail from eight countries with films from Australia, Afghanistan, Finland, Iran, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Canada alongside three short films from the USA.

This riveting MANHATTAN SHORT 2023 line-up is linked by a common theme: how we face adversity, whether it is imposed by others or arises from personal circumstances. The Final Ten short film selections feature narratives that are dramatic, sometimes humorous, occasionally magical, and always inspirational!

All Final Ten short films will become Oscar-qualified, meaning they are automatically eligible for an Academy Award nomination.

One World * One Week * One Festival
Screenings will be held worldwide taking place in over 500 venues across six continents.

YOU ARE A JUDGE!
Everyone will be handed a voting card.
You select your favorite film. The winning film will be announced on Tuesday, October 10.
Many previous films have gone on to be Oscar nominees and winners.
