Join us for a flashback to 1899 as Rise-Up Theater presents Newsies!! CRS's 3rd thru 6th graders will blow you away with your favorite dances and songs from this Broadway Hit! A New York City homeless newsboy Jack Kelly becomes friends with two newbies to the newsie job David and Les Jacobs. The newspaper publisher Joseph Pulitzer makes new rules that make it harder for the newsboys to make money. So the newsboys go on strike! Journalist Bryan Denton who's sympathetic to their plight gives them some public relation tips. The newsboys battle grabs the city's attention in a big way.
