This Tony-winning show upends the century-old story of how a miserable orphan becomes a legend. The awfully big adventure about starstuff, pirates, mermaids, orphans and finding home. Three young boys, kidnapped and sent to sea, know nothing of the mysterious trunk in the captains cabin, but precocious young Molly knows whats inside and that it must never fall into the wrong hands. From marauding pirates and jungle tyrants to unwilling comrades and unlikely heroes, the story playfully explores the depths of greed and despair and the bonds of friendship, duty and love.
