Good Farm Fund Harvest Picnic

We are delighted to introduce a new event, the Good Farm Fund Harvest Picnic. It will be at BARRA of Mendocino on October 12, 2021 from 4-7 pm. Our farm-to-table community dinners are some of the most beloved events in the county, and this year weve designed a new event to take into consideration the realities of living in an ongoing pandemic and everyones comfort level with gathering.

Attendees will pre-order their picnic baskets, and can take dinner to go or stay and enjoy their meal on a picnic blanket with live music and a lovely, socially-distanced ambience. The menu will include Mendocino-raised fried chicken, sweet potato biscuits, local beer and wine, and pie for dessert. There will be vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free options as well. There will be a silent auction with in-person and online options, as well as live music and drinks for purchase for those who stay to enjoy their picnics on the lawn with us.

The Good Farm Fund was founded in 2015 with the goal of providing direct support to small farmers in Mendocino & Lake Counties and increasing local food security for all members of our community. We do this through two programs: the Farm Grant Program, which provides grants to local food farmers to aid in funding projects for their farms; and the Food Stamp Match Program, which gives EBT users an extra dollar for every dollar they spend at the farmers market.
