Rhode Island's longest-running sketch-comedy showcase, the Empire Revue, picks apart a new theme each month with original sketches and songs darting hilariously between pithy and poignant, lofty and low-brow, satirical and generous, warm and idiotic. Amplified by a live house band and palate-cleansed by a handful of guest artists (comedians, musicians, dancers, and whatevers), each shows inviting energy builds to a curated explosion of performance.
