ShooBooty studios is proud to present two of Chicago's finest Country & Indie Music Artists, Jess McIntosh & Aaron Smith. On the 24th of January Jess and Aaron will present their take on these blended styles through their original music. The duo began as old time players steeped in the sounds and rhythms of American string band music. Dutifully influenced by contemporary music and education alike, each of them has developed into highly versatile performers with credits that run the gamut of today's creative music circles. And while they retain a deep love and respect for traditional songs and melodies their aim as a duo is not merely to reproduce the music that inspired them early on, but to celebrate its lasting vitality. They perform songs and tunes old and new, from high energy breakdowns to stirring vocal duets and everything in between. Its old time music the way it should be played: dynamic, gritty, and with an unfaltering groove and a real sense of adventure.
