The Ballet Studio Showcase 2019
This Showcase is a benefit for the Visual and Performing Arts program at C.K. McClatchy High School. This year we are presenting an interesting array of dances that spotlight the imaginations of our pre-teen students who chose to create pieces on the Chinese Zodiac, our Solar System, the molecular structure of water, an Irish Goddess, and a Russian folk dance. Our adult/teen dancers perform with our youngest students in dances connected to the frost, ice, hail and snow of Winter, which give way to the gnomes, fairies, water lilies, flowers and bunnies of Spring. Additionally, there will be a fun jazz piece, a variation from Swan Lake and a beautiful suite of dances featuring our students dancing en pointe. This year, for the first time, our showcase will also feature a student choreographed dance with live piano accompaniment.
