Superunloader
Superunloader is an original rock trio out of San Diego CA. Jimmy Lewis leads the band with an astounding singing range that evokes the envy of most singers, but he does this while playing guitar which such skill as to send most guitarist back to the woodshed. He is backed up by Chris McGreal (Bass), and Chad Farran (drums) who are known as one of the tightest, hardest-hitting rhythm sections in musicians circles.
The band has a soulful classic rock side that has drawn comparisons to Led Zeppelin, Jimmy Hendrix and Free. But they shouldnt be mistaken for a classic rock band, as they have a modern progressive edge in the vein of Audioslave and The White Stripes. Their live performances combine precision song delivery, which is sometimes extremely technical, with spontaneous improvisational jamming à la Phish that makes them a favorite of many jam band fans.
The Arena Theater bar and snack stand will be open.
