June 2nd from 2-4:30pm at Now Instant Imaging Hall in Los Angeles
Sign up to make your very own jewelry piece or small object! GIA BAHM - founder and designer of Unearthen, will be teaching basic wax carving in this workshop. You'll get a thorough start on the necessary steps, skills, tools, and general good practices to hand carve wax for jewelry and small object making. Every student will carve their own piece, and at the end of the class you'll decide which metal you'd like to have your piece cast in. Gia will have it cast and do the finishing work for you.
You can pick up your cast and finished piece at Now Instant on June 22nd.
Price of class includes:
- wax carving instruction
- assorted tools for wax carving, a saw, wax files, wax pen, and various types of wax to carve
At the end of the class, as stated above, you get to decide what type of metal you would like your piece cast in. Your options are 14k gold, sterling silver, and brass. Gia will hand finish your piece. Price for casting and finishing will be determined by weighing your piece and calculating the casting and labor cost.
