Cornish College of the Arts presents the Theater Department's Centennial season's musical: "Seussical," co-produced with the Performance Production Department. "Seussical" ingeniously interweaves a series of classic tales by author-illustrator Dr. Seuss, in which themes of power and privilege, insiders and outsiders and who gets to tell whose story are played out metaphorically through the interactions of such vivid characters as the Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz and the Lorax. "Seussical" is smart, inventive, tuneful and appropriate for all ages.
About the Director: Kathryn Van Meter directed the recent acclaimed Village Theatre production of "Into the Woods," and choreographed "Man of La Mancha" for the Arizona Theatre Company. She has previously directed "Bat Boy" and "Godspell" at Cornish.
