Zachary Clause does Bette Midler at the Continental Baths, 1971

The year was 1971. Bette Midler was on the verge of stardom, and Barry Manilow was still unknown. Together, this duo performed regularly for the shirtless homosexuals of The Continental Bathhouse. Zachary Clause playfully summons the ghosts from a mythical moment in queer history in his recreation of one of Bette's final performances at The Baths. Bring your own towel things might get steamy as we try to answer the age old question What becomes a superstar most?
Zachary Clause (Creator/Performer) has performed Off-Broadway, in both FringeNYC and NYMF festivals, and in regional theaters across the country including Barrington Stage, Capital Rep, and The Hangar Theatre. Zachary's short film, "Cathy", was recently named an official selection of the PBS Reel 13 short film contest. For the past several years he has performed alongside Jeremy Lawrence in Tennessee Williams "The Chalky White Substance" and "The Traveling Companion" in Williams Festivals all over the U.S. as well as Dublin. His recent collaboration with Mr. Lawrence, "He Knew He would Say It (But Could He Believe It Again?)" premiered in April as part of The New Orleans Tennessee Williams Literary/Theatre Festival. His one-woman shows, "Is That All There Is: An Evening With Sherry Duvall-Covington" and "Sherry Takes A Holiday" played to full houses at both The Red Room and The Laurie Beechman Theatre. In addition to his solo acts, Zachary hosts a popular on-going party/variety show Mom Radio and can be seen performing all over the city as his alter ego Sherry Duval-Covington.
Darren R. Cohen (Musical Director) has music directed 16 productions at Barrington Stage including "Kiss Me, Kate", "On the Town", "Fiddler on the Roof", "The Game", "Guys and Dolls", "Sweeney Todd", "Cabaret", "Mack & Mabel", and "Follies". Representative New York credits include "A Chorus Line", "Chicago", "Make Me A Song", "Zombie Prom", "Carnival", "My Name Is Still Alice", "The Fantasticks", "And the World Goes Round", "Nunsense", "Show Me Where the Good Times Are", and "Man of La Mancha". Regional: Sacramento Music Circus, Goodspeed, North Shore Music Theatre, Coconut Grove Playhouse, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Cincinnati Playhouse, San Jose CLO, The MUNY, Kansas City Starlight, George Street Playhouse, Westport Playhouse, Downtown Cabaret Theatre. Cohen authored The Complete Professional Audition and is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music.

Seating at Pangea is communal. Other guests may be seated at the table. There is a $20 per person food or beverage minimum at the tables. DINNER SEATING BEGINS AT 6:30PM.
Please arrive one half hour prior to the show and allow additional time if you are planning to have a dinner.
Late arrivals will be seated at management's discretion.
