KUNSTLER
KUNSTLER, a new play by award-winning playwright Jeffrey Sweet, will be presented by CPI in association with Artistic New Directions January 30-31 at 7:30 pm and February 1 at 2 pm in the Riggi Theatre. The New York Times called the play "wise and revealing." This stirring history and vivid character portrait features Broadway leading man Jeff McCarthy as the famous radical attorney who defended the Chicago Seven. All tickets $25.
On January 29 at 7 pm, there will be a special gala event featuring excerpts from the play and a spirited roundtable headed by Attorney E. Stewart Jones with members of the Capital District legal profession and Jeff McCarthy as William Kunstler to discuss Kunstler's legacy and the law. A reception follows. All proceeds will benefit The Creative Place International production and education programs.
