Celebrity Chef Series - Fast, Elegant Fruit Desserts with Instructor: Debra Sellers - A Gualala Arts Workshop on Thursday, February 11, 2010 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Think you haven't got enough time and patience for creating an elegant dessert? No baking experience? No problem!
In this hands-on class, we'll work on pairing flavors, combining textures and keeping it simple. I'll bet you already have everything you need for a fabulous fruit dessert in the cupboard and fridge.
Fast, Elegant Fruit Desserts We'll take a look at the fruits that are at their peak in February and turn them into something special.
The recipes covered can also be adapted to the fruit of any season. Please bring your apron. (Gluten-free diet? This class is for you.)
About Debra Sellers: I love dessert! Whether it's an extravagant dessert for a special occasion or a healthy, sweet little something after dinner, treat yourself. Presenting ideas and techniques to the home cook is my passion. Since graduating from The Culinary Institute of America, I've worked as an artisan bread baker and a pastry chef in the East Bay. I create cakes, mignardise and plated desserts for clients in the Bay Area. When I'm not immersed in the kitchen, you'll find me immersed in the pool teaching aquatic fitness classes.
