KidsAcoustic: An English Medieval Christmas
Noel as it's meant to be sung! For songs of Yule and Christmas, Shula is joined by her frequent collaborator Jacob Breedlove, multi-instrumentalist, craftsman, storyteller, and beloved co-teacher of many of Shulas historical arts classes. Songs in Middle English are accompanied by the ever-popular hurdy-gurdy and by medieval fiddles large and small, and we'll have bells on, literally!
Christmas in the Middle Ages was focused on religious devotion, and these songs about Mary and her child are no exception. We hope you'll enjoy the beautiful melodies and the glimpse they offer of winter celebration in England 800 years ago, whatever your family's beliefs and traditions.
