SwanSong Troubadour - James Weston Acoustic Show

SwanSong Troubadour is the latest brainchild of Nashville based singer/songwriter James Weston. After setting out on the road 15 years ago, he has worked professionally as a singer-songwriter, session musician, recording engineer, music producer and film composer.

As a Singer-Songwriter, he has written around 400 songs to date and has worked alongside highly successful artists like Keith Carradine (Oscar winner) and David Campbell (Grammy winner) among others. He has personally released 8 records and has toured extensively in the US and Germany, UK and Ireland. He has shared the stage with artists like Kenny Loggins, Blues Traveler, and Al McKay (Earth Wind and Fire). His sound has been compared to Tom Waits, Bruce Springsteen, Pink Floyd and Joe Cocker.

As a Film Composer, James began working in the industry in Los Angeles on short independent films. He got a break when he was asked to score his first full-length film called "Deep Dark Canyon". With his knowledge of engineering and his insane work ethic, James consistently gets called to bring his uncanny ability to add dimension and raw emotion to films without detracting from the dialogue and acting.

Upon completing his 9th studio album at Blackbird Studios, he will be living in his RV and touring across the United States in support of the music. When it all boils down, James Weston is just a blue-collar musician that prefers a small pub, singing directly to people and enjoying music on an intimate level. If you have a chance to catch him performing in this environment, you would be foolish not to check him out. He is truly a throwback and one of the last real troubadours.
