Small Acreage Tour - Vossenberg Farm

Join us for a tour of the Vossenberg Farm in Ridgefield and hear from competitive rider and trainer Anna Collier on keeping horses, reducing mud, controlling pests, improving pastures, and managing manure! Vossenberg Farm Event Facility was recognized by WSU Clark County Extension's Small Acreage Program as a Merit Property in 2005 for efforts made by the farm owners to manage manure, control runoff, reduce mud and implement other best management practices that improve operations while protecting water quality and natural resources. This tour will cover a wide range of small acreage and horse management topics such as footing materials for heavy use areas, grazing practices, manure management, drainage solutions for runoff and much more. Come learn about how the landowners turned their 25 acre property into a premier event facility and achieved recognition as a Merit Property from WSU Clark County Extension by implementing best management practices that have improved the property and protected natural resources, while saving time and money.

This is a peer to peer learning experience so bring your family (no young children or dogs please), friends and questions you have about your property. Please dress appropriately for the weather, bring a water bottle and wear sturdy boots as we'll be in the field. Take home resources and refreshments will be provided.
