Every referee and NSO knows, there is truly no better way to up your game than in-game feedback and critique. With that in mind, RCRG officials Reed d'Rulz, Nine Inch Wheels, Eric RAWK and Sir Osis are joining forces to put together a unique scrimmage training opportunity November 8, 2014 at the Rats Nest.

Date: 11/8/2014
Time:  3:30pm  8:00pm, Registration begins at 3:30pm
Scrimmage time 4pm -7pm  (two scrimmages) with Q&A
Price:  $25 if purchased before 10/18/14, after this date rate will be $30

We will be hosting a limited number of referees and NSOs in a live scrimmage and feedback session.  You'll receive real time individual feedback, post bout debrief and an hour of scrimmage time.  Reed, Wheels, Rawk and Osis are some of the most experienced officials working in flat track derby and have extensive bout and training resumes.  Come learn from the best in the business, sign up now as numbers are limited to provide the highest level of individual feedback and assessment possible! We've also secured video services from Poppa Getsome, so all scrimmage footage will be posted online for your review after the clinic.

Trainers:

Reed d'Rulz:  Reed is the product of the amazing Junior roller derby scene in the Pacific Northwest.  When his daughter started skating in 2009, he began to learn the ways of the NSO.  With that as a springboard, Reed joined Rat City's Lightning Fists of Science in 2010, became certified in 2011, and Head NSO for the league in 2012.  Today Reed is a Level 3 WFTDA certified NSO and holds endorsements for Head NSOing and Scoring & Timing.  Reed has been involved in the training and mentoring of officials at many levels from new parents just starting out in Junior derby to leaguemates at Rat City on up to experienced NSOs at Tournament levels.  This year will mark the 4th year that Reed has officiated for the WFTDA Playoff and Championship Tournaments.

Nine Inch Wheels:  Wheels, who began her NSO career back in the south, is now in her 8th season officiating roller derby.  She is a WFTDA Level 4 Certified NSO, with all 4 NSO Endorsements (Head NSO, Penalty Tracking, Score & Timing, and Penalty Management).  In addition, Wheels has been a WFTDA Officiating Clinic Instructor for the past few years, was previously on the WFTDA NSO Certification Committee, and now serves on the WFTDA Certification Oversight Committee.  Wheels is currently an NSO for the Rat City Rollergirls and the WFTDA HNSO for the Oly Rollers.  She has officiated numerous games across the PNW since moving out here in 2011, in addition to working several WFTDA Regional Playoffs and Championships over recent years.  She has also been the THNSO for tournaments such as Spudtown Knockdown, PNW Jr Champs, the Big O, and has been the THNSO for WFTDA Playoffs (Salem) and this year's WFTDA Championships (Nashville).

Eric RAWK: Officiating since 2006, RAWK began training up officials, both referees & NSOs, almost immediately. He has done this within leagues he was/is a member of as League Head Referee (Gotham, Oly) as well as in a senior official/mentor (Rat City, Angel City) role. As a trainer RAWK has instructed officials in a variety of countries throughout 4 continents at both training events and privately with individual league and/or area officiating crews.

As for officiating credentials, RAWK has done almost everything. As the longest running active Level 5 Referee he has been an infield referee in all WFTDA Championship Tournaments, and THRed WFTDA Playoff Tournaments (including Champs) as well a THRed Tournaments in 5 different countries (including both World Cups). And as being as well rounded of an official as possible, RAWK also has Level 2 WFTDA NSO Certification and is an MRDA Recognized Official.

Sir Osis:  In his 8th season as a skating referee, Osis is a Level 5 Certified referee with IPR and Head ref endorsements.  Since 2009 he has served in every skating role at WFTDA D1 playoffs including a CHR at WFTDA Championships.  He is the chairperson of the WFTDA Officiating committee and served as the THR for last year's D1 playoff in Asheville NC.   As the current Officials Captain for Rat City Rollergirls, Osis has brought crew and self-evaluation to another level using footage review, peer evaluation and in game feedback as primary tools for crew growth and performance.  Osis has trained officials in Belgium, Mexico, New Zealand, Japan, and across Canada and the US as a freelance trainer and was recently added to the roster of WFTDA Officiating Clinic Instructors.
