Wild Honey and Trunkworthy Present Big Star Third and #1 Live to Benefit the Autism Think Tank
Big Star Third Live--Jody Stephens (Big Star), Mike Mills (R.E.M.), Ira Kaplan (Yo La Tengo), Mitch Easter (Let's Active), Ken Stringfellow and Jon Auer (The Posies), Django Haskins (The Old Ceremony), Brett Harris, Chris Stamey (the dB's), and Skylar Gudasz--will be joined by the Bangles, Aimee Mann, Pete Yorn, Dan Wilson (Semisonic), Dean Wareham (Galaxy 500, Luna, Dean & Britta), members of Grouplove, Jason Falkner, Tommy Keene, and More!
The concert will feature a full chamber orchestra conducted by Van Dyke Parks, including the Section Quartet, pianist Charles Cleaver, horn section leader Sarah Kramer (Leonard Cohen), and percussionist Nelson Bragg (Brian Wilson band).
Both records will be played in their entirety with full orchestration. Bonus songs from Radio City(September Gurls).and Chris Bell solo will also be performed in an extended encore.
All profits will go to the non-profit Autism Think Tank to help kids like my son Jake (who has been greatly helped by his internet conference with autism specialists) with the debilitating medical issues associated with autism.
