Beethoven and Tchaikovsky (and Ice Cream)
Join the Perseid Quartet for a fun evening of music! We will start the evening with Beethoven's op. 18 no. 4, an early example of Beethoven's mastery of form and classical style, with an energetic last movement inspired by Hungarian dances. After that we will perform Tchaikovsky's First Quartet, most famously known for its second movement, Andante Cantabile. During a tribute concert, Leo Tolstoy burst into tears hearing the piece for the first time. After the concert we will have an ice cream social where you can mingle with the performers and guests while enjoying a cold treat.
