Evento

May 22, 2014 AFP Lowcountry Luncheon
Please join us Thursday, May 22nd at 12pm
Zeus Grill in Mt. Pleasant

We're putting a new spin on our most popular luncheon: Young Donors!

Do you and your organization struggle with how to engage the next generation of philanthropists? Do you wish they'd just tell you how to get they're buy-in? With so many ways to connect to young people, does the face-to-face for our maturing donors still work best on these young philanthropists?

Now's your chance to hear directly from a panel of 18-35 year old philanthropists in Charleston! Learn and listen to what works, what doesn't, and why they support the charities they do.

Three panelists will field your questions and shed light on the next generation of giving in Charleston. Take a look at our featured donors:

Olivia Coco is a 21 year old senior at the College of Charleston from Saratoga Springs, NY.  Currently she is involved with the women's equestrian team, is a Charleston 40 tour guide, part of the upcoming CofC Student Investment Society, is part of the Honors College, and is a founding member of the College's new student philanthropy group, Committed 2 Charleston (C2C).

Christopher Davies is a 33 year old software engineer.  Chris is an avid supporter of the Catholic Diocese of Charleston, 40 Days for Life, Low Country Pregnancy Center, Oxfam, Catholic Answers, EWTN and more.

Patricia "Tricia" Ramage is a 26 year old Financial Analyst at Greystar Real Estate Partners. Tricia is an avid supporter of Alpha Delta Pi, Lowcountry Food Bank and the College of Charleston.

Discussion moderated by Tucker Branham, who among other credentials,  received her M.A. in Philanthropy & Development from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota where her final capstone paper for her M.A. was entitled The Impact of Globalization on Philanthropy in the Millennial Generation. Over the past six years, Tucker has spoken nationally and internationally about the Millennial Generation among other topics.
