Regina Players Present: Oklahoma!
The Regina Players give students the opportunity to participate in one large-scale musical each fall and a smaller production (either straight play or small-cast musical) in the spring. Past shows include Grease, High School Musical, Hairspray, Beauty and the Beast, and more! Regina is one of 25 schools selected to participate annually in the Sutton Foster Awards, a precursor to the largest high school musical theatre competition in the country, the Jimmy Awards. The Regina Players encourages participation from all students interested in learning more about the world of live performance!
This year, join us as we present 'Oklahomal'! "Oklahoma!" is about a romantic love story between cowboy Curly McLain and farm girl Laurey Williams in the Oklahoma Territory before it becomes a state. It is also about the broader themes of community, hope, and the journey toward statehood, blending comedy, drama, and innovative choreography to tell its story.
