Peacenik Collective is on a passionate quest to spread a message of unity and community, peace and love through songs that connect and reflect who we are, and what we share as humans, while promoting equality, dignity and respect for all.
Peacenik Collective is a group of highly acclaimed, award-winning musicians, each having recorded and performed over decades in many outstanding projects. Cherelle Jardine, Marc Gladstone, Scott Jackson, Bruce Coughlan, Gord Maxwell and Greg Stuart are bringing a peace party to raise funds for Gospel Mission Society of Vancouver at Lynn Valley United Church.
Special guest appearance by local artist Randall Andrus.
What's a Peace Party? A "Peace Party" is an all-inclusive community event. A place to celebrate diversity in all its forms and to embrace kindness with music that connects and reflects. More and more today we see our world in social decline, we see the great divide amongst people and we feel it's up to all of us to be the change we want to see in the world.
The band will be performing their single "Back to Love", plus they'll be singing songs from their collective songbook which includes songs from Cherelle, Marc and Scott - (Stone Poets), Bruce Coughlan and Gord Maxwell. They will also be adding some cover favourites and of course a few John Lennon songs.
December 1980, the world was shocked to learn that John Lennon had died. This December will mark 45 years since that sad day. Lennon was a messenger of peace, love, respect, dignity and tolerance for all. John Lennon was not the first person to sing of peace, Peacenik Collective is determined he shall not be the last!

We are taking donations for toques, socks, sweaters, blankets, jackets, rain gear, toiletries, female person items etc - any item to keep people warm during this upcoming season.
