The Evolution of Style: The Milkshake IPA
Do you like beer? Do you like history? Do you like beer history? Then, this is the event for you!
North Pillar Brewing is proud to announce the first in its series of beer tasting events, The Evolution of Style, an immersive tasting and learning experience that explores the history and development of today's most popular craft beer styles. The series' inaugural event, which focuses on the development of the Milkshake IPA, will take place on Tuesday, December 2nd, at 7:00 PM in the back room of North Pillar Brewing.
This unique event invites attendees to take a deep dive into the who, what, where, when, why, and how behind the Milkshake IPA. Guests will trace the style's lineage through four historical beer styles, sampling each in turn while learning how one influenced the next, culminating in the fifth and final sample: the Milkshake IPA.
"The Evolution of Style blends humor, history, and flavor in a way that appeals to both knowledgeable beer lovers and craft beer newcomers," said Pat Lafferty, the series developer. "It's a hands-on experience that connects the dots between the classic beer styles of centuries past and the creativity of today's exciting craft beer scene. Plus, I was able to get a couple of hard-to-find beers for the sampling lineup. It should be a lot of fun."
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 (cash only) at the door. Seats are limited and reservations are highly recommended (early registrants pay no processing fees).
