Abigale Reisman has established herself as an expressive and thoughtful fidl player, particularly interested in expressing the human voice through the violin and connecting her playing to the rhythms and accents of the Yiddish language. A key member of Ezekiels Wheels Klezmer Band, Abigale frequently performs as a duo with acclaimed klezmer scholar and performer Hankus Netsky. Most recently, she has joined forces with Jake Shulman-Ment, Pete Rushefsky, and Raffi Boden in a new ensemble (which performs on Sunday at noon) that pushes the boundaries of traditional klezmer string music.
