Gundi - A Legend of Love

The film follows the life of the great athlete from the day he met his future wife Velichka Markova Lita - to the tragic date June 30, 1971. The script is based on untold stories from the personal life of Georgi Asparuhov and his greatest love Lita. Together, they navigate numerous trials in life, soccer, the political system, but remain together until the very end. The screen will also bring to life some of Gundi's legendary soccer games, thanks to hundreds of special effects used in the film.
Pavel Ivanov and Alexandra Svilenova are in the leading roles. The film also features Dimitar Marinov (Asparuh - Gundi's father), Paraskeva Dzhukelova (Maria - Gundi's mother), Penko Gospodinov (State Security agent), Vladimir Lyutskanov (The General), Alexandra Kostova (Lidka - Gundi's sister), Emil Markov (arch. Markov - Lita's father), Bilyana Petrinska (Marena - Lita's mother), Nikolay Urumov (Kotze Georgiev - Levski coach), Vladislav Karamfilov Vargala (Georgi Genov Botev Plovdiv coach), as well as Stoyan Radev (Zoro), who supported Gundi both professionally and personally.
The screenwriter of the film is Emil Bonev, director Dimitar Dimitrov, cinematographer Boris Slavkov, producers Ivan Hristov and Andrey Arnaudov from "Mezhdinna Stantsiya"
