I thought so. Well, then, this is goodbye!"
Rejected and alone, Rachel, a single mother, began searching the dark streets for hope.
Nellie, the eccentric neighborhood bag lady, was all that she could find.
Unfortunately, all Nellie wanted was to be left alone.
Would Rachel ever find the answer to her problems?
How could he keep the doors of the soup kitchen open? That was the question Brian, the manager of the local soup kitchen, spent his days pondering.
"You're wasting your time on these people," was all that Alvin, a prosperous local businessman, had to offer.
Would Brian ever find the help he was looking for?
Larry, a local plumber, was full of big ideas. Granted, most of these big ideas were about starting a relationship with Adrienne, a musical volunteer at the soup kitchen.
But, much to everyone's surprise, Larry also had a big idea about how to keep the soup kitchen going. Granted, it was a far-fetched idea but they decided it was worth a try. After all, something had to be done if they wanted to have a feast that Thanksgiving.
Would this big idea work better than the ones Larry used to try and win Adrienne over?
Sprinkled with humor and music, Rachel's Feast is the story of a group of colorful characters working against the odds to save their dreams.
However, as it turned out, the results of their actions would surprise them all.
