"Collage with our Archives" Workshop Facilitated in English and Chinese with Chris Deng
Join us for an evening of collaging with archival photos of The Tombs, protest images of the jailsite past and present, and maps of Chinatown. Through collage, we'll deepen our understanding of the land on which the Megajail site is situated and explore the rich history of protest in Chinatown. Participants are encouraged to bring their own printed photos of Chinatown to incorporate into their collages. Please note that no printer will be available on-site. At the end of the session, participants will have the opportunity to submit their collages to be shared and displayed in the exhibition. If submitted, collages will be returned on September 29th, after the exhibit closes.
