La diosa quebrada / The Broken Goddess (Venezuela, 2023, 21 min.) *Short-documentary in Competition Spanish w/ English subtitles Directed by Ximena Andrea Pereira
Synopsis: Different times converge to explore a rupture that goes beyond a mere statue. It tells the story of Venezuela and of every Venezuelan who feels torn apart by a war that was never theirs. It also reflects the wounds of those living in the limbo of a migrant life.

Synopsis: The fractures in the Spanish State's reception system leave thousands of undocumented immigrants on the streets each year when they reach the age of majority. Emilia Lozano, an unwavering activist for human rights and the feminist movement, redefines the concept of family for many of them through her ongoing struggle for social justice, love, empathy, and solidarity.

Synopsis: Three alien women with futuristic sound headgear walk through enclosed spaces engulfed in sand. Connected by their shared ability to listen to the energy, vibrations, and sound transmissions emitted by abandoned objects of the past and future, these alien women react to the stories of migrant Venezuelan women carried by the objects. As the film progresses, the womens testimonials expand and intermingle as the alien women gain more control over their environment.
