Chenrezi Initiation, offered by H.E. Avikrita Rinpoche
Date: Sunday, August 11th Time: 5:30 pm Location: In the Snoqualmie Pass area (specific location will be shared following registration)
This initiation is a part of the 2024 Marici Fellowship Summer Camp. All members are welcome to attend the initiation even if they cannot stay for the whole camp. Rinpoche will bestow this special Chenrezi initiation for purifying the elements. In this practice, Chenrezig is in a 6-armed form riding on top of three tiered worldly deities - Vishnu for the higher realms, Garuda for the subterranean realms, and Lion for the terrestrial realms. Each of those three are called "Hari" and, hence, the practice being known as "Chenrezig Riding the Mounts of Hari Hari Hari."
Rinpoche will not only bestow the initiation but explain the way to practice this special healing form of Chenrezig, which is considered a powerful aid to meditation. He will also provide a prayer that he authored himself based on this practice.
All members are welcome to attend the initiation even if they cannot stay for the whole camp.
Commitments: A vegetarian diet for the day is required to attend and the samaya (commitment) is to keep one's aspiring Bodhisattva vows.
