CYANOTYPES FOR THE ARTIST
Learn this historic sun printing process and possibilities of making one of a kind Prussian blue imagery that can be used decoratively or as a basis for new artistic endeavors. You will learn to apply light sensitive solution to watercolor papers, gauge exposure times and create unique imagery utilizing vegetation, laces, ribbons, found objects and enlarged photo negatives. In addition to paper prints, you will use pre-treated fabric to create prints. Finally, you will learn a simple book fabrication to house your cyanotype pieces. All materials provided. You may wish to bring your own enlarged negatives or other objects.
