Chicago horror heads, slip on your farm overalls and slap on your foxy blue eyeshadow, because it's time to celebrate the release of Ti West's MaXXXine with a double feature of the first two films in this extraordinary modern horror retro vibes trilogy, PEARL and X!

On Friday July 5, join me, "La Gialloholique" Stephanie Sack, at Facets Cinematheque for back to back screenings of PEARL and X:

Noon -- doors
12:30p -- introduction and screening of Pearl
2:30p -- 2:45p -- murder mingle
2:45p -- 4:45p -- introduction and screening of X
4:45p -- 5p -- murder mingle
5p -- FIN

From noon to 5p, it's all modern horror, retro vibes, memorable introductions, local art, and, best of all, mingling among fellow fans of these killer films.

Attendees can attend one or both films with one ticket.

Those who want a souvenir can purchase an original painting by local artist, designer, and costume-maker Amanda "Freja" Johanson. She will be onsite with a range of small pieces inspired by and to commemorate the screenings of these extraordinary films.
