PITTSFIELD | Blessing of the Bikes

An annual tradition when bicyclists, motorcyclists, e-bike and scooter riders and their bikes are blessed by a faith leader in the hope that it will bring safety for the coming season.

Expect a brief service in which the Rev. Joel Bergeland will offer words of blessing and encouragement, and then sprinkle our bikes with Holy Water. There will be a moment of silence to remember those cyclists we've lost in the past year, followed by a chance for everyone to ring their bicycle bells in celebration of cycling!

We'll gather near Zion Lutheran Church in the Pittsfield Common at 11:30.
