His musical style, characterized by dark, ultra-violent, and horror-themed lyrics over less traditional, bouncy, and upbeat instrumentals, marks him as a pioneer of the gorehop sub-genre. With 18 solo albums and 8 group projects under his belt, Scum's productivity is impressive. His projects, like the Mr. Zipperface album series and the Out With The Old double album, showcase his ability to engage his audience with compelling narratives and a unique sound. Scum's extensive touring history, including 26 nationwide tours with numerous headlining acts, speaks to his significant impact on the scene and his ability to maintain a strong, dedicated following over two decades.
