ASCE Geotechnical Group & EERI Dinner Meeting - January 2024
Co-organized by Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) Washington Chapter and University of Washington Geo-Institute Graduate Student Society (GIGGS) and Geotechnical Group

Join us for the January meeting on Wednesday, January 17th.  Brian Sherrod will be presenting the topic - Seattle Double Fault Triggering

Topic: Seattle Area Double Fault Triggering
Presentation by Brian Sherrod, US Geological Survey

Brian Sherrod of the US Geological Survey will present his recently published paper on high-resolution dating of earthquakes on the Seattle and Saddle Mountain faults in Western Washington, and the impact of these two faults triggering near the same time. The presentation will summarize work by the USGS focusing on the Seattle fault and recurrence intervals of large earthquakes in Western Washington.
