Brooklyn is Not a Sacrifice Zone

Brooklyn is Not a Sacrifice Zone is a live theater community-engaged performance that takes the audience along the banks of the Newtown Creek in the Nature Walk hearing the stories and visions of local residents and activists who dream to topple their neighbor, a giant fracked gas depot. We imagine what the landscape could be if National Grid's site was decommissioned and the land rehabilitated. In addition, it is also an audio archive that collects the stories of those residents, creating an online forum where others can listen and learn about the challenges in living alongside fossil fuel infrastructure and industrial wasteland.

Performance times:
Saturday Oct. 28th at 5pm
Sunday October 29th at 5pm
Both shows will be followed by art builds and ways to plug into the local immediate fight against National Grid's latest LNG (Liquified Gas) expansion proposal
