The Water Engine
The Water Engine by David Mamet
Set in 1934 amidst the Century of Progress Worlds Fair in Chicago, The Water Engine centers on amateur inventor Charlie Lang who has created an engine that runs on distilled water. It could change the world! Ridiculed, dismissed, and threatened lawyers, corporate execs and hit men Charlie wont give up trying to patent his machine. The play is set in the world of radio drama as we look at the past that has become our future.
