Alice Tatum - CD Release Party "Origin"
"The release of Alice Tatum's new record "Origin" is a perfect vehicle to showcase the depth and abilities of her singing and writing gifts. Alice, a valley favorite for well over 30 years, has been widely acknowledged as one of, if not THEE, premier singer in this region as was evidenced by her induction into the AZ Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame this last April. Her new record consists of a very fresh take on songs that have meant so much to both Alice, and her many fans, over the years. "Origin" features many of the Valley's most respected musicians as well as national and internationally known friends and players such as: trumpeter Wayne Bergeron (famed LA film and studio musician), guitarist Steve "The Deacon" Hunter (Peter Gabriel, Alice Cooper, Tracy Chapman, Lou Reed), slide guitar hero Sonny Landreth (John Hiatt, Clifton Chenier & John Mayall's Blues Breakers), Grammy winning organist Chester Thompson (Santana, Tower of Power), Valley born elite Jazz pianist Phillip Strange, as well as other highlights such as the addition of the wonderful Nashville Strings. Alice Tatum is certainly one great singer who navigates so many styles and genres, making these songs her own, that you'll be greatly rewarded if you catch any live performance!"
As a performer, Alice has played along side such greats as; Michael McDonald, Tom Scott, The Righteous Brothers, Bonnie Raitt, Alice Cooper and Nancy Wilson. She has also worked with producer giant Don Costa as well as entertainers Flip Wilson, Paul Anka and most recently, her summer concert series at the Hilton, with Merv Griffin. As a recording artist her discography is expansive. She has national commercials, TV, and film as well as her own three CD Projects.
Alice has made her home in Scottsdale AZ. and has committed not only her talents but her personal time to many valley charities such as the Arthritis Foundation, Arizona Foundation for Women, Make a Wish Foundation and others.
