He has appeared on numerous syndicated radio and TV shows all over the continent. He has been a comedian for over 30 years. His column, "Drinking on $11 a Night" has appeared in various leisure magazines throughout the country. Downey has a weekly radio show at 103.9 FM in Suffolk county, NY.
