Route 11 Dance Festival - Modern Master Class with Danah Bella

An investigation of movement from the inside out, this intermediate/advanced class encourages efficient use of strength and technique while exploring full-bodied movement with an emphasis on breath and dynamics.

Danah Bella, Artistic Director of d a n a h b e l l a DanceWorks, received her MFA in performance from the Ohio State University and her BA in Dance from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She has had the opportunity to perform with Santa Barbara Dance Theatre, Umoja Dance; tour nationally with Pearl Ubungen Dancers and Musicians, internationally with Alleluia Panis Dance Theatre; and bring dance to kids with Dancing Earth. Her creative work has been presented throughout the United States, Mexico and Italy; she has been an invited Guest Artist to numerous institutions and professional dance companies including Western Michigan University, University of Virginia, Circle Modern Dance, Dogwood Dance Project; and she has taught at Pro Danza Italia, the Bates Dance Festival, the Monterey Dance Festival, the American College Dance Festival and at present is on faculty at Radford University.
