Becoming Ava
New York 1955. After having his scholarship cancelled from a prestigious acting school, Jack faces having to go back to the family pig farm in Michigan. Carol needs a grandmother to introduce to Ben's father so he can approve of their getting married. Ben is willing to pay Jack enough money to make up for his loss of scholarships, if he poses as Carol's grandmother. He's already playing a woman in the school play. When Ben's father falls for Jack as 'Ava' and the real grandmother shows up and falls for the school director. Love wins out and they end up performing a scene from the school play which mirrors what they've just lived through.
