Opening Little Boxes!
Little Boxes Theater and A-K Arts would like to invite you to our formal opening and Gala event. Little Boxes Theater's mission is to provide rehearsal & studio theater space for artist of various backgrounds and encourages keeping alive the history of personal expression and creative freedom the bay area has set itself apart by cultivating. Offering 1200sqft of sprung dance floor, 18ft ceilings for aerial work, collaborative set building, professional lighting, and a house that can seat between 50-65 comfortable patrons, we hope to create an environment of small but beautiful and beautifully appreciated performance.

At our opening Gala fundraiser, Little Boxes Theater will be showcasing the performance talents of some of the most talented and evocative artists San Francisco has to offer.

We are proud to announce that Dance Theater of San Francisco has found it's home here at Little Boxes Theater! DTSF is a contemporary dance company promoting the work of not just one choreographer, but several each season. DTSF's mission as a professional dance company is to cultivate an eclectic and ever-changing repertoire by working with both established and emerging choreographers from around the Bay Area and beyond. Their primary goal is to produce high quality, collaborative productions that enrich artists, inspire dancers, and engage our community through a powerful and stimulating dance experience.

Nick Knave is a long time SF resident and Tenderloin rat. After ending his successful career as a juvenile delinquent, he decided to choose an even more criminal profession: PUPPETEER! Combining elements of classic puppet theater, audience participation, rock and roll, monster movies and not a small amount of tongue-in-cheekiness Nick presents stories, songs and conversation that catch eyes, tickle funnybones and make squares raise their eyebrows. Upcoming programs include the ages 17+ "Puppetsploitation Double Feature" produced by Peaches Christ Productions in Summer 2014 and a weekly, late night, show at StageWerx beginning in March.

Looking forward to seeing you at Little Boxes Theater
