Founded in 1867, the Grange was formed as a national organization with a local focus and its roots in agriculture. Our members are given the opportunity to learn and grow to their full potential as citizens and leaders. New initiatives for 2023 include: a grazing cooperative; a well and water resources committee; a gardening committee; historic preservation committee; home school and youth group, and more are developed continuously as new members bring their passions and interests to the Bennett Valley community through our Grange.
The Bennett Valley Grange hall proudly holds the distinct honor of being the oldest Grange hall in continuous use in America. Built in 1873 on land donated by Bennett Valley resident John Hughes, the hall was dedicated in a celebration on December 4, 1873.
