Generational Communication -- Rudy Xavier

Rudy Xavier's course, Demystifying Communication, was first presented in 2013. It helped people to translate generational knowledge into practical information they could use to communicate from generation to generation.

Generational Communication may be viewed as Demystifying Communication, Part 2. It will revisit the basics presented in the first course, provide additional, thought-provoking information about cross-generational communication, and discuss recent findings about generational profiles.

But you do not have to have taken Demystifying Communication to enjoy this stand-alone course.

In this course, we'll take a more detailed look at some practical do's and don'ts for each generation, as well as the preferred media for each generation. Finally, we'll have some follow-on discussions and provide attendees with an opportunity to experience, understand, and practice techniques for working with all different types of people.

A helpful book to read before the course: "The People Puzzle" (Morris Massey, 1979 Reston Publishing)

Instructor Rudy Xavier, B.A. (Premed), M.A.(Psych), MSc-(Computer Science) enjoyed a satisfying career at DEC, Honeywell & Xerox Corp., targeting scientific & medical software. A determined student of design genius R. Buckminster Fuller & generational marketing pioneer Ann A. Fishman, Rudy is also trained in psychology, computational linguistics, & data visualization.

In this course, he will draw you a communications "map," to help you communicate effectively with all who are important to you.

This course has one class session: Friday, March 14 from 2pm-4pm.
