Little Theatre Adventure -- Some Enchanted Evening-the Music of Rodgers & Hammerstein--Elaine Fournier

This is a fundraising special performance for the Little Theatre. The Little Theatre box office regular price for tickets for this event is $35, but for this special February 22 matinee performance, LLCC members get a special price--$25. Non-members are also welcome to attend this matinee perfomance with our members--for $30. In addition, the cast and crew will offer a "talkback" after the performance for our attendees. There will be no food provided this time nor a chance to share a "nosh" with the cast and crew.
The talkback is a post-show informal conversation with members of Independence's artistic staff and cast. It will be led by long-time SLO Little Theatre contributor Elaine Fournier. This is a chance for you to learn about the thinking and planning that must be done before the performance goes on. Elaine may talk about the script itself, themes, the author, character development from the actor's point of view, and/or the rehearsal process. You may ask any questions about the show or artistic process and gain more of an insight into the theater works.
This class is connected to the current LLCC course "Getting to Know the Sound of Rodgers and Hammerstein" offered by John Frey. We encourage attendees in that course to register for this course to experience more of the wonderful music.
The unforgettable songs of Rodgers & Hammerstein have become an integral part of our everyday lives. We sing them in the shower, we dance to them in ballrooms, we hear them on the radio, in clubs and yes, even in elevators and supermarkets. We teach them to our children and we still thrill to them LIVE on stage. Join LLCC and the Little Theatre for an intimate and memorable musical revue and enjoy the songs that will live forever in our hearts from such great shows as South Pacific, Carousel, Oklahoma, Flower Drum Song, The Sound of Music and more!
Elaine Fornier has a Master's in English with a dramatic literature emphasis. She taught theatre appreciation, acting, dramatic literature and film at Cuesta College, and taught English composition at Cal Poly and Hancock College.

Our Little Theatre Adventure courses were sellouts when they were offered twice before in connection with the shows "Enchanted April" and "Independence."
There are only 25 tickets available for this course so please make sure to register early so you won't be shut out.
The Cost for this course: $25 for members, $30 for non-members includes the price of your theater ticket and the talkback (remember, no food).
