Rooted in the veins of West Virginias raw reddish hills, it is tradition that the hands and feet of the dead are cut off to prevent their bodies from breaking through seven layers of dirt. When this tradition is broken, Mandy Jane and her preacher father are left with blood on their hands, becoming haunted by the deceased. Faced with the decision to join the dead or stay with her scathing Papa, Mandy Jane must decide which monster is less evil.
