Ayla Schafer MANCHESTER
Ayla is a multi-lingual world folk singer-songwriter and a visionary musical artist weaving together a stunning repertoire of original poetic songs with traditional and tribal music.

A special part of this evening will be gathering with shared intention to Honour the Water. The Waters of this Earth that give and sustain all life, the waters of life that flow within us and the deep waters
of our emotions'

Together we will offer our prayers to the Water to celebrate, praise, grieve, honour and remember what is truly sacred. With our song, dance, prayers and hearts we open up to remember what sacred really means to us and our place within the web of life. Honouring the water
is to honour ALL of life'

Ayla is also planting a tree for every participant through Tree Sisters, yes your ticket to this event is supporting the restoration of reforestation. Tree sisters have already over 26.5 million trees across 12 locations in Brazil, Borneo, Cameroon, India, Kenya, Mozambique, Madagascar, Nepal and West Papua.

With a growing international presence she has become known as A voice of the Earth and is a powerful sound in the rising global community of people who are committed to living in harmony with the Earth. Aylas music has taken her around the world with her live performances that provide a sacred, intimate, heart-opening space for all who are present. This artist sings the song of the spirit and embodies the tales she tells, expressing a music that reverberates with deep heart, wisdom and soul. To experience the essence of this young songstress is to be taken down a musical journey that ultimately leads us back to the very core of our own inner existence.

Gigging from the age of 16, she became known across the UK festival scene. Her first collaboration was with Brit award winner Ben Howard and then followed by performing as folk-soul duo Susie Ro and Ayla.

The turning point in Aylas musical expression took place six years ago when she went travelling in South America. The years she spent away from her home shook her world and reshaped her writing as she explored the mystery of the inner landscape whilst learning with many indigenous traditions and learning about the healing power of song.  This deep soul quest unveiled a new depth and honesty, inspiring her compositions to express the beauty, shadow and rawness of this human experience woven with a passionate dedication to earth consciousness and the sacred ancient wisdoms.

In 2017 Ayla released, co-produced debut Dive into Water, a record that looks to tap into an authentic and heartfelt journey of light, courage, depth, and truth. The purity of her voice is held intimately by a vivid soundscape of an eclectic array of instruments, with the albums lead track Vuela Con El Viento spread globally with over 10 million listens on YouTube.

Her latest album released in 2020: 'Silent Voices': a moving, intricate folk record that combines musical elements from contrasting parts of the world but carries a message about inclusivity and introspection. An album title that is especially relevant for the challenging times we all face, calling for cultures to be more aligned on issues we encounter as a species and the environment we live in.

In addition to her album releases, working alongside organisations protecting the Amazon Rainforest. 2018 saw the release of a collection of Live, acoustic and experimental tracks with the album Ima Adama which gives 25% of profits to the Pachamama alliance. Followed in 2020 by the single Music Plants Trees and the Music plants Trees Remix (Featuring Chris Paradox) with Agami Records in 2020 giving 100% of profits to tree planting projects. She is also leading the way in Artivism with the campaign Music Plants Trees; the vision and mission to help reforest the world through music and support social and environmental causes through art. For every album and ticket sold to Aylas events a tree is planted and travel whilst on Tour is by train and boat where possible.

Ayla has spent many years travelling and studying with indigenous traditions across the world, learning from them about the medicine and healing power of the voice and the mystery of sound. She is a passionate carrier of traditional songs and indigenous wisdom with a vision to inspire others to find their soul expression, inner guidance and earth ancestral connection using the power of sound and voice. She expresses her vision through her music, spiritual ceremonies, 'Song of the Soul' and 'Womb Song' Workshops/Retreats, women's circles, one -to-one voice coaching and Water ceremonies.
