Holiday Harmony: Featuring Rutter's Gloria, familiar classics, and a few surprises!
Join Media Chamber Chorale for our 2022 winter concert: Holiday Harmony. This festive performance captures the joy and delight of the holiday season, and we can't wait to share it with you!
John Rutter's Gloria is a modern classic in 3 movements with powerful brass accompaniment. The rest of the no-intermission program includes an eclectic selection of holiday and winter songs, including fresh arrangements of old standards and a Ukrainian New Year's carol. (Believe it or not, you know this one!) The performance will be approximately 1 hour with no intermission.
Media Chamber Chorale began in 1984 with a group of professional and dedicated amateur singers who wished to perform quality music in a chamber setting. We have performed annual winter and spring concerts since 1992, and we have been asked to sing at numerous community venues including Tyler Arboretum, Longwood Gardens, the Delaware County Summer Festival in Rose Tree Park, retirement communities, and the PA Renaissance Faire. We also perform annually at the Wallingford Community Arts Center's holiday craft fair.
We sing diverse music that includes standard choral repertoire as well as opera excerpts, show tunes, madrigals, spirituals, and folk songs. For additional information, please visit mediachamberchorale.org.
